Our Practitioner

Sabeena Faiz is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed in the state of Illinois. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of illnesses beginning in childhood and continuing throughout the aging process. In 2003, she graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE) with her Bachelor’s degree in Science of Nursing. She then worked as a Telemetry/ICU nurse for hospitals in the St. Louis area before returning to SIUE to pursue her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree. Sabeena earned her Family Nurse Practitioner title in 2007 and was honored with the “Outstanding Nursing SIUE Alumna Award” in recognition of a student who demonstrated the most dedication and commitment to the nursing profession.

Before joining Family Practice Center of Palatine, she invested 8 years working in retail health where she provided convenient, quality care for common minor illnesses and performed an array of physicals. During that time, Sabeena also reached out to the community to promote health and wellness by building relationships with local school nurses and teachers. She participated in elementary school health fairs and conducted classroom presentations related to proper hand washing technique and disease prevention. After leaving retail, she spent 2 years in Chiropractic care with pain management and then 5 years in urgent care.

Sabeena loves traveling with her family and is an outdoors enthusiast. She has enjoyed sky diving, zip- lining, white water rafting, cave exploring, and snorkeling with sting rays. When she is not working, she spends time with her husband and two daughters.
